Lets be honest, the Dodge Dart isn't always the first thing that comes to mind when someone says muscle car. But the truth is the Dodge Dart was a vital part of the MOPAR muscle car movement in the late 1960's and early 1970's. Dodge released the Dart GT and GTS as high performance versions of the car but things really got rocking when Dodge created the Hemi Dart, Swinger, Swinger 340, and the Dart Demon.

The Dodge Dart was a bit smaller than other muscle cars such as the Charger and Challenger but that simply means that when cram a V8 into it they go that much faster! I had a 1972 Dart for a long time and when my kids were still little and I can tell you that the Dart was a typical MOPAR in that it was an extremely reliable car and it actually got really good gas milage. The great thing about the Dodge Dart is you can still find ones in great shape and at fairly reasonable prices.
