There were 5 generations of Chevy Nova but only the first 3 are classic American cars (maybe if we all try really hard we can forget the Novas built after 1974).

The very first Nova was produced in 1962 and it was a really neat looking smaller almost compact car. In 1966 the Nova was redesigned with a larger body style, and things really got rockin' in 1968 when the Nova jumped head-long into the Muscle car arena.
